Mercor* is partnering with a leading frontier AI research lab on a high-impact project designed to push AI past world-class Olympiad competitors. They’re looking for individuals with a serious math-competition pedigree to help train large language models on IMO-style reasoning. Who They Want • Olympiad problem writers • Coaches • Selection committee members • Medalists (gold, silver, bronze) • Honorable mention + participants • Affiliates across IMO, RMM, USAMO, APMO, IMC, EGMO, and related competitions • * Applicants must be highly proficient in writing and formatting documents using LaTeX. ** What You’ll Do • Write original high-difficulty Olympiad problems • Evaluate AI-generated reasoning for rigor, correctness, and clarity • Provide precise solutions with full chain of thought • Maintain top-tier mathematical standards Role Details • Remote, contract • 20–40 hrs/week • ~$50–$85/hr depending on competition experience • 2-month engagement with extension potential • Weekly payments via Stripe • Must be comfortable working in LaTeX What Happens After You Click “Apply” Once you hit the Apply button on this posting, you’ll be guided through Mercor’s standard evaluation process.
