Solution Architect, Solutions Consulting
Job Description:
• Lead pre-sales discovery and consultative engagements with prospects and account executives to deeply understand their business model, strategic goals, and technical requirements.
• Architect and recommend best-fit solutions—standard, configured, or custom—that align with both the prospect’s needs and Candescent’s delivery capabilities.
• Create clear, compelling solution designs, including architecture diagrams, product configurations, integration approaches, and implementation roadmaps.
• Set accurate expectations with prospects and internal teams through formal assessments, workshops, and collaboration with subject-matter experts.
• Own the technical and functional sections of proposals and ensure all solution details are accurately reflected in the CRM and proposal documentation.
• Collaborate on responses to RFIs/RFPs in partnership with the Proposal team.
• Provide warm handoff and post-sale transition support for complex implementations and competitive conversions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the competitive landscape, Candescent’s product roadmap, and industry trends in digital banking.
• Act as a trusted advisor by answering technical and strategic questions from prospects, clients, and internal teams within established SLAs.
• Contribute to retention and expansion efforts by identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities during client engagements.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in a client-facing technical role (Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar) within financial services, FinTech, or digital/online banking.
• Proven project management and stakeholder management skills in a sales or delivery context.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (especially PowerPoint, Excel, Visio), CRM systems (Salesforce, Dynamics, etc.), and collaboration tools.
• Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems, make sound assumptions, and drive toward actionable solutions independently.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to both technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to rapidly master new technologies, banking concepts, and Candescent’s product capabilities.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% as needed.
