[Remote] QA Engineer [Talents Bench]

As a QA Engineer, you will ensure high standards of quality by leading quality initiatives, delivering quality releases, and collaborating with teams to ensure project success. Responsibilities • Collaborate with development team, Project Managers, and Technical Consultants to create and implement testing plan, mitigate bugs, and maintain project standards • Write and maintain automated tests for user stories and features throughout a project’s life cycle • Manual QA of developer work • Proactively communicate risks and issues as they become known, to both clients and team • Work independently, and have ownership over testing decisions and results • Advocate for solutions, and determine bugs’ severity • Ability to thrive working with Agile / SCRUM methodologies • Shares knowledge with company and community through blogging and/or meetups • Ensures tests adhere to accepted best practice guidelines, whether code-specific or framework-specific • Researches new techniques, technologies, and ideas • Shares knowledge with development team, helping them understand testing strategies and general concepts • Makes recommendations and collaborates with colleagues (QA Engineers, Director of Technology) Skills • Agree with our Corporate Values Statement • Believes in the company mission: To help people • 3+ years of experience with quality assurance • Ability to create and implement testing strategies for a variety of projects • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Experience with full-stack testing • Working knowledge of CLI • Understanding of Git workflows and practices • Experience working with SCRUM methodologies • Experience with automated test suites like Cypress • Experience using / creating a Continuous Integration process Company Overview • AWS Consulting It was founded in 2003, and is headquartered in Portland, Oregon, USA, with a workforce of 11-50 employees.
