We are seeking a skilled Legal Content Writer to help us create high-quality, compliant educational content for various legally required courses in the United States. Our company develops and publishes online courses that require state approval and regulatory compliance, such as:
Notary Public certification courses
Real Estate continuing education or licensing courses
Other professional training programs with legal or compliance requirements
This role is ideal for someone with a background in law, paralegal work, legal writing, or compliance documentation who can translate complex statutes and regulations into clear, engaging, and instructional content for students.
Responsibilities:
Research and interpret state statutes, administrative codes, and regulatory handbooks for accuracy.
Draft course material that aligns with specific state requirements (e.g., length, topics, and compliance mandates).
Ensure all written content is legally accurate, up to date, and approval-ready for submission to state agencies.
Create practice exams, quizzes, and supplemental materials based strictly on state-approved guidelines.
Collaborate with our internal team to ensure course materials are formatted and structured for online delivery.
Requirements:
Proven background in legal writing, paralegal studies, law, or compliance (J.D., paralegal certification, or related experience preferred).
Strong ability to interpret and summarize complex legal texts.
Experience creating educational or training content is highly valued.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in compliance-focused writing.
Ability to write in a clear, professional, and student-friendly tone.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Notary Law, Real Estate Licensing, Mortgage, or Insurance courses.
Familiarity with submitting or preparing content for state approval processes.
Experience with online course platforms (e.g., LearnWorlds, Thinkific, Moodle) is a plus, but not required.
