Senior Director, Large Farm Underwriting

Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic plans for the Large Farm Underwriting team to achieve profitable growth and meet business objectives. Lead and manage a team of underwriters, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and continuous improvement. Oversee the underwriting process for large farm clients, ensuring adherence to company policies and guidelines while maintaining a strong focus on risk management. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the organization to drive innovation and improve processes and procedures. Monitor industry trends and developments to inform underwriting strategies and make recommendations for improvement. Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as agents, brokers, and clients. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the agriculture industry, including market trends, regulations, and emerging risks. Champion a culture of compliance, ethics, and risk management within the underwriting team and the wider organization. Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive results. Participate in industry events and conferences to represent the company and stay updated on industry developments. Stay informed on changes in underwriting laws and regulations and ensure compliance within the team. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies for large farm clients. Work closely with the senior leadership team to shape the future of the underwriting strategy and effectively communicate key initiatives.
