Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging and challenging lesson plans that are tailored to the needs of 6th-grade students
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic achievement and social growth
Use the Montessori method to foster independence, self-motivation, and a love of learning in students
Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of individual learners
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through regular updates and parent-teacher conferences
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in Montessori education
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
A valid teaching certification with a Montessori endorsement
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in education or a related field
Experience teaching 6th grade or other middle school grades
A strong understanding of the Montessori method and its application in the classroom
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
Experience with remote or online teaching
Knowledge of curriculum design and development
Experience with project-based learning and STEM education
A master's degree in education or a related field
