The successful candidate will be an experienced healthcare privacy attorney with a strong background in Third Party Administrator and SaaS, particularly in the health and wellbeing industry or other highly-regulated, data-intensive sectors. This role is pivotal in managing the company's privacy programs, providing expert legal advice on a wide range of digital health matters, and ensuring compliance with privacy and data security regulations. The Senior Counsel will also be responsible for leading a small team, partnering with various internal teams to instill privacy-compliant strategies, and supporting the business in all privacy and data security needs. Applicants for the Senior Counsel, Privacy position at the company should have a JD degree from an accredited law school, be a current member in good standing of a US state bar, and hold one or more IAPP privacy certifications. A deep knowledge of federal and state privacy and data security laws, with a focus on healthcare-related privacy regulations, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in privacy law and employee management, experience in supporting consumer-facing SaaS or similar businesses, and a strong understanding of global privacy laws.
