Apparel Technical Designer - Illustrator

You will be the key link between creative design and manufacturing, requiring expert-level Adobe Illustrator skills, a deep understanding of garment construction, and proven experience building factory-ready tech packs. Core Responsibilities: • Create precise digital CADs (flat sketches) of apparel using Adobe Illustrator. • Develop and manage comprehensive tech packs, including all specs, measurements, materials, and construction notes. • Collaborate with clients and production teams to ensure all technical details are accurate for manufacturing. • Review physical samples against your tech packs and provide clear, design-related feedback for revisions. • Maintain an organized digital library of all CADs, artwork, and tech packs. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Technical Designer, Apparel Graphic Designer, or similar role within the fashion industry. • Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for creating technical flats. • Strong, practical knowledge of garment construction, terminology, and the apparel production lifecycle. • Demonstrable experience building detailed, multi-page tech packs from scratch. • Impeccable attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines. Bonus Points: • A creative eye for fashion aesthetics and trends. • Experience with 3D design software (e.g., CLO 3D).
