Family Ministry Associate
The Family Ministry Associate provides essential organizational and administrative support to both the children’s and student ministries. This role ensures smooth weekly operations, supports ministry events, and helps sustain an environment where children, students, and their families can grow in discipleship.
Responsibilities: Children’s Ministry Support
• Serve on Sunday mornings: worship during the 8:00 AM service and assist in Kids’ Church during the 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM services.
• Download and organize monthly curriculum for Kids’ Church.
• Prepare weekly ministry materials, including lesson bins, activity sheets, leader communication, and videos (USB prep).
• Maintain and restock classroom supplies (paper, glue, scissors, snacks, etc.).
• Conduct monthly inventory of lesson supplies and provide purchasing needs to the Director of Family Ministry.
Student Ministry Support
• Assist with student ministry communication, including calendar updates and postcards.
• Print weekly sign-out sheets for all student groups.
• Restock the student ministry snack and drink bar weekly.
Administrative & Database Management
• Input new families into Planning Center and maintain accurate records.
• Compile reports and assist with basic record-keeping functions.
Event & Program Support
• Assist in planning and preparation for key ministry events, including:
• FX Events
• Vacation Bible School (VBS)
• GROW
• Walk with Jesus
• Blessing of the Backpacks
• Serve during VBS and support duties assigned by the Director of Family Ministry.
General
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Family Ministry to support the overall mission and operations of the ministry.
Miscellaneous Duties:
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Meet with family ministry team as needed.
• Attend family ministry trainings.
