Assistant Executive Housekeeper
<strong>Department:</strong> Housekeeping<br> <strong>Reporting To:</strong> Executive Housekeeper<br> <strong>Location:</strong> Hotel / Resort<br><p><br></p>Position Overview<br><br><br><p>The Assistant Executive Housekeeper supports the Executive Housekeeper in managing end-to-end housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction across guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house areas.<br><br></p>Key Responsibilities<br><br><br>Operations Management<br><ul> <li><p>Oversee daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house<br></p> </li> <li><p>Ensure rooms meet brand standards before guest check-in<br></p> </li> <li><p>Monitor occupancy levels and plan staffing accordingly<br></p> </li> <li><p>Coordinate with Front Office for room readiness, VIP arrivals, and special requests<br></p> </li></ul>Team Supervision & Training<br><ul> <li><p>Supervise supervisors, room attendants, public area attendants, and laundry staff<br></p> </li> <li><p>Conduct daily briefings and allocate duties<br></p> </li> <li><p>Train teams on SOPs, safety procedures, grooming standards, and guest interaction<br></p> </li> <li><p>Monitor performance and support staff evaluations<br></p> </li></ul>Quality Assurance & Audits<br><ul> <li><p>Conduct regular room inspections and public area audits<br></p> </li> <li><p>Ensure adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and brand standards<br></p> </li> <li><p>Implement corrective actions for identified gaps<br></p> </li> <li><p>Support high performance in internal and external quality audits<br></p> </li></ul>Inventory & Cost Control<br><ul> <li><p>Manage inventory of linen, cleaning supplies, guest amenities, and equipment<br></p> </li> <li><p>Maintain par levels and consumption controls<br></p> </li> <li><p>Track laundry operations and outsourced vendor quality<br></p> </li> <li><p>Assist with budgeting and cost optimization<br></p> </li></ul>Guest Experience, Safety & Reporting<br><ul> <li><p>Handle housekeeping-related guest complaints and ensure timely resolution<br></p> </li> <li><p>Coordinate special setups and amenities for VIP guests<br></p> </li> <li><p>Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and chemical handling standards<br></p> </li> <li><p>Assist in preparing operational reports and maintain housekeeping documentation<br></p> </li> <li><p>Coordinate with Engineering for maintenance follow-ups<br></p> <br><br><br></li></ul>Requirements<br><br><br>Qualifications & Experience<br><br><br><ul> <li><p>Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or Housekeeping Management<br></p> </li> <li><p>3–6 years of housekeeping experience, including supervisory or leadership roles<br></p> </li> <li><p>Experience in luxury or upscale hotel environments preferred<br></p> </li> <li><p>Familiarity with PMS and housekeeping management systems<br></p></li></ul>
