Manager of Business Process Excellence (REMOTE)
About the position
This position manages the Business Process Management (BPM) center of excellence team that leads all aspects of strategic enterprise-wide, business process management initiatives including process transformation, process automation and reengineering, and process architecture. The incumbent will function as a champion of process improvement methodologies and implementation throughout the organization and will build strong enterprise-wide partnerships to influence and grow a community of practice and culture of continuous improvement. This individual will leverage industry leading best practices for process improvement, enabled by automation and AI, to drive the achievement of enterprise goals. This leader manages and oversees resources responsible for leaning out business processes and designing/developing business process automation to drive efficiency and effectiveness to CareFirst.
Responsibilities
• Manage a team of direct reports who address complex, enterprise-wide business problems using continuous improvement best practices and tools.
• Ensure timely and quality delivery of critical cross-functional process improvement projects.
• Provide oversight for developing and implementing proactive solutions for process innovation.
• Utilize a deep understanding of industry-leading technologies to establish and fulfill development plans with staff.
• Maintain capacity models and schedules, including resource planning and delivery timelines.
• Provide thought leadership for business process management maturity strategy and roadmap.
• Create and foster an environment of continuous improvement enabled by technology.
• Develop program frameworks, governance structures, tools, and templates for delivering cross-functional initiatives.
• Establish relationships across key business roles and align stakeholders, capabilities, and resources.
• Drive innovation by recommending and implementing cutting-edge business process automation solutions.
• Understand and analyze stakeholder needs and guide business teams in adopting new solutions.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience.
• 5 years of related professional experience.
• 1 year of supervisory experience or demonstrated progressive leadership experience.
Nice-to-haves
• Lean/Six Sigma certification.
• Payer experience preferred.
• Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups.
• Strong focus on driving change and developing relationships.
