Location: Missouri Region
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 + 401(k), Health Benefits, PTO and Performance Bonuses

Role Overview:
Looking for a highly skilled UPS Engineer to join our team and maintain the performance and reliability of critical power systems. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently while representing the company on client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on UPS systems, battery systems, and associated critical power equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and control system issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Respond to emergency service calls and outages, providing rapid, effective solutions.
• Support multiple OEM brands, including both legacy and modern UPS technologies.
• Conduct load bank testing, battery analysis, and other critical system performance assessments.
• Maintain detailed service records, reports, and compliance documentation for client sites.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and facilities teams to optimize system reliability and efficiency.
• Mentor and guide junior technicians, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, NFPA 70E standards, and OSHA regulations during all work activities.
• Participate in system upgrades, retrofits, and commissioning projects as needed.
• Support remote monitoring and diagnostics where applicable.
• Recommend and implement preventive measures to reduce future equipment failures.
• Engage with clients professionally, providing clear technical explanations and status updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 6+ years of hands-on experience working with UPS systems; experience with multiple OEM brands preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and battery technologies.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-stakes, critical power environments.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites, managing time and priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to all applicable standards and best practices.
• Willingness to travel within the Missouri region as required.
• Experience with commissioning, testing, and startup of UPS and critical power systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools, SCADA systems, and remote monitoring platforms is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
