Workers Compensation Med-Legal Report Editor

MED-LEGAL REPORT EDITOR-WORKERS COMP EXTENSIVE ORTHOPEDIC AME/QME EDITING EXPERIENCE A PLUS! The Worker's Compensation Orthopedic Med-Legal Editor will be responsible for the review and editing of Med-Legal reports, and handling for completeness and accuracy. Medical writing and editing experience required. Duties and Responsibilities: • Must have experience with Med-Legal Worker's Compensation reporting • Must have experience with reviewing AME/QME reports • Must have thorough understanding of AMC Guides 5th edition and Labor codes 4663 & 4664 • Must be familiar with old method of rating • Excellent communication skills and writing skills in regards to medical terminology • Must be familiar and have experience with MS Office • Must be well versed with worker's compensation and medical terminology • Strong organizational skills, detailed-oriented, and ability to handle multiple task • Must maintain high levels of confidentiality at all times • Must exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgment, initiative and high standard of ethics. • Discrete handling of confidential and non-routine information • Must possess high attention to detail Qualifications: • 3 to 5+ years' work experience in Workers Compensation cases is highly preferred • Experience in Orthopedics preferred • Honest, smart, dependable and organized • Receptive to constructive criticism and feedback • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow up on assignments • Positive attitude, well-mannered • Self-starter, proactive and works well with little supervision • Excellent analytical skills, likes to be accurate and a superb attention to detail • Intermediate or higher skill level in Microsoft office • Associates degree or higher, Bachelor's degree preferred.
