Medical Writer II – Marketing & Digital Content (contract)
Sanofi’s contingent workforce program, FLEXT Direct, is seeking a Medical Writer II to support the development of accurate, engaging, and compliant healthcare marketing content. This role partners closely with cross-functional marketing teams to produce high-quality digital promotional materials while leveraging AI-driven tools to improve efficiency—without compromising regulatory or brand standards.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in healthcare marketing or medical writing, deep familiarity with MLR review processes, and the ability to translate complex medical information into clear, compliant, and compelling content.
Work Schedule:
This is a REMOTE part-time contract role with variable hours ranging from 20–40 hours per week. The number of hours each week is not guaranteed and may fluctuate based on project priorities. Candidates should be comfortable with a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and refine digital copy for websites, email campaigns, social media, and other promotional channels.
• Adapt and optimize content from existing commercial and medical assets while maintaining accuracy and brand alignment.
• Ensure content adheres to MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) requirements and supports a smooth review process.
• Utilize large language models (LLMs) and AI-driven tools to generate initial drafts and improve content development efficiency.
• Review, edit, and refine AI-generated content to correct inaccuracies, improve tone, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Verify references and source materials to maintain scientific accuracy, credibility, and adherence to healthcare regulations.
• Stay current on industry trends, compliance standards, and emerging AI technologies to continuously improve content quality and workflows.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, medical writing, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of healthcare terminology, promotional guidelines, and compliance standards.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with AI content generation tools is a plus.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with digital marketing strategies and SEO best practices.
• Knowledge of FDA, EMA, or other regulatory guidelines governing healthcare communications.
• Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation tools.
