About the Role

This part-time remote data entry job is an exciting opportunity to join our A319/A320/A321 Fleet Engineering Team within the Technical Operations Division. As a key member of this team, you'll play a vital role in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues on transport category aircraft. Your expertise will help improve the reliability of various aircraft systems, and you'll have the chance to work on projects that make a real difference in our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep informed of day-to-day airline operations involving your field of responsibility, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and challenges.
  • Assess daily priorities in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives, ensuring that you're focused on the tasks that matter most.
  • Investigate aircraft/component problems that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determine the appropriate corrective actions.
  • Provide Engineering support as required for the disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components, helping to restore serviceable status and get our planes back in the air.
  • Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems, collaborating with colleagues to find solutions.
  • Develop action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects, pursuing final dispositions according to assessed priorities and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Coordinate with other airline departments, as required, to provide for the effective and efficient implementation of engineering dispositions, working together to achieve our goals.
  • Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical dispositions, providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions that provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong foundation in aviation engineering, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You should be a team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is able to prioritize tasks effectively. A degree in a relevant field, such as aerospace engineering or a related discipline, is preferred, and you should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the essential qualifications, we're looking for candidates who have experience working with transport category aircraft, as well as knowledge of aircraft systems and reliability engineering principles. Familiarity with project management tools and techniques is also an asset, as is experience working in a remote or virtual team environment.
