Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Standards Data Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Quality Control Strategies and Guidelines Group, you will play a crucial role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and growth by identifying statistical trends and performance metrics to improve the Quality Control division. This is a remote work opportunity, offering flexibility and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist others in the Quality Control team in optimal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data elements.
  • Assist in creating and presenting results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical stakeholders and leaders.
  • Help investigate critical ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging issues and provide logical responses to enable senior management to make informed business decisions while balancing existing project responsibility.
  • Present insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools to support the relevant aspects of the analysis and facilitate stakeholder understanding.
  • Assist in developing and distributing specific queries to pull and integrate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and validating the necessity of the data requirements.
  • Identify irregularities in processes through audits and convey findings to the team.
  • Assess the effectiveness of processes and methods by monitoring for trends and anomalies.
  • Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the center of every decision.
  • May perform other work duties as directed by the team leader.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong ability to collect, organize, analyze critical amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen, understand, and convey ideas in writing, verbally, or through presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase, is preferred.
  • Ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning.
  • Ability to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications is preferred.
  • Past internship, capstone projects, and research coursework is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a strong support/team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to commit to responsibilities and be a self-motivated individual.
  • Past internship experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to plan and support large business initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications in data analysis, quality control, or a related field.
  • Experience with programming languages, such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Experience with data mining and data warehousing.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
