Job Overview
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for responding to member requests for emergency road service in a call center environment. You will obtain information regarding the type of service required, provide basic information regarding Emergency Road Service benefits, and perform geographical location spotting to determine potential service providers. As a key member of the arenaflex team, you will communicate with contractors to provide information regarding member location, vehicle, and type of problem, and obtain estimated times of arrival. You will also enter data into the database and document all relevant details, ensuring that members are kept informed and updated throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to member requests for emergency road service in a call center environment
- Obtain information regarding the type of service required and provide basic information regarding Emergency Road Service benefits
- Perform geographical location spotting to determine potential service providers
- Communicate with contractors to provide information regarding member location, vehicle, and type of problem, and obtain estimated times of arrival
- Enter data into the database and document all relevant details
- Notify members of estimated times of arrival and names of contractors
- Recognize, promote, and process membership sales opportunities
- Verify completed status of calls and close out on the system
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a minimum of 6 months of customer service experience. You should be able to provide customer service in a professional manner, de-escalate situations, and accurately input information into various fields using a PC keyboard. You should also be able to navigate through a PC and/or automated processing system, read and comprehend various customer care service tools, and perform mathematical calculations including adding, subtracting, percentages, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- College-level coursework in Business, Marketing, Geography, or other related fields, and/or applicable professional/technical certification courses
- Experience in a call center environment, remote work, customer service environment, promoting products and services, and identifying and responding to customer needs through cross-selling and up-selling products
Skills and Competencies
To excel in this role, you will need to have strong communication, interpersonal, and written communication skills. You should be able to operate and navigate a laptop or PC, often using multiple applications, and have basic computer skills. You should also be able to identify and resolve customer service issues/requests, represent the Customer Care Department in a professional and positive manner, and maintain accurate records.
