We employ more than 30,000 colleagues worldwide and run mining operations across LATAM, Europe, Southern Africa and North America.</p><p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><p>We are seeking an Analyst, Corporate North to be responsible for the financial reporting for designated entities of the Corporate North business and certain holding entities within other Group businesses. To timeously and accurately process financial information, reconcile all balance sheet and general ledger accounts and ensure statutory returns are processed timeously.</p><p>The role will be based at our Head office in London.</p><p><strong>Key role requirements:</strong></p><ul><li> Perform accounting activities and provide financial support to the Corporate North business.</li><li> Prepare and input monthly results to HFM-Hyperion (HFM) of designated Corporate and business HFM entities.</li><li> Input to HFM certain forecasts and budgets for designated Corporate and business HFM entities.</li><li> Prepare templates and statutory note disclosures for the Consolidated Corporate Business.</li><li> Prepare Consolidated Corporate Business variance analysis through investigation and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders.</li><li> Working closely with London Treasury to ensure that transactions are appropriately accounted for and presented in the Corporate North results.</li><li> Support the Manager, Corporate North in providing the Finance overview of Group step plans (dividends, funding, restructuring, etc) impacting London entities. Monitoring the payment process in conjunction with Treasury.</li><li> Monitor the Corporate cash pooling arrangement through close coordination with London Treasury.</li><li> Prepare management accounts and ad hoc reporting data requests as may be required to support the Corporate North team.</li><li> Support the Corporate North team to Monitor financial transactions and reporting activities for compliance with Group and local statutory requirements.</li><li> Prepare reconciliations of certain balance sheet accounts for the Corporate North team, involving Payroll and Shared Services teams where necessary.</li><li> Balance and agree loan accounts and other intercompany balances with relevant business Finance teams.</li><li> Process certain month end journals and other ad-hoc journal entries.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p><strong>Formal Qualifications</strong></p><p><strong>Required:</strong></p><ul><li>Qualified or part-qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA</li><li>Degree in a relevant discipline</li></ul><p><strong>Technical skills / knowledge requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Commercial and technical accounting issues and good knowledge of accounting standards</li><li>Working knowledge of financial systems – SAP, HFM-Hyperion and FDMEE an advantage</li><li>Preparation or review of UK financial accounts</li><li>Demonstrated experience working within a team to deliver against set targets</li><li>Strong proven analytical skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Advanced Excel skills and excellent computer literacy.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional information:</strong></p><p><strong>Who We Are</strong></p><p>We aim to lead the industry by pursuing ever safer and more responsible ways of working, demonstrating integrity and showing care and respect for people and the planet.
