SEO Strategist (Programmatic / AI Pages) — Lead Our Organic Growth Engine - Contract to Hire

About the Role We’re looking for a highly technical SEO strategist to lead the design and execution of our organic growth strategy from the ground up. This is not a content-writer role. You’ll be architecting a large-scale, programmatic SEO engine—working directly with an engineer to create millions of AI-generated pages, build scalable templates, and drive meaningful revenue through organic search. You should be equally comfortable in Search Console, Ahrefs, analytics dashboards, and technical SEO discussions with engineers. If you’ve built or scaled programmatic SEO systems before, this role is for you. What You’ll Do • Own end-to-end SEO strategy: keyword research → page architecture → indexing → monetization • Design and lead programmatic SEO initiatives (at massive scale) • Work directly with an engineer to: Define page templates, schema, internal linking, and URL structures Ensure crawlability, indexation, and performance at scale • Deeply analyze performance using: Google Search Console & Bing Search Console Ahrefs (or equivalent) Funnel and conversion analytics • Identify and prioritize keyword clusters that map to real revenue intent • Diagnose indexing, ranking, and crawl issues across large page sets • Design experiments around: Page variants Content depth vs. breadth AI-generated vs. human-edited content • Collaborate on how organic traffic fits into the broader paid + funnel strategy Required Experience • Proven experience leading programmatic SEO or large-scale SEO projects • Deep, hands-on expertise with: Google Search Console Bing Search Console Ahrefs (or similar tools like SEMrush) • Strong understanding of: Technical SEO (indexing, crawl budgets, canonicalization, schema, internal linking) Funnels, conversion paths, and revenue attribution How SEO interacts with paid acquisition and overall growth strategy • Comfortable working directly with engineers (you can spec things clearly and think in systems) • Experience working with AI-generated or templated content at scale is a major plus Nice to Have Experience in consumer SaaS or fintech Prior work creating millions (or tens/hundreds of thousands) of indexed pages Strong data intuition—knows what actually moves rankings and revenue Ability to move fast, test aggressively, and iterate What Success Looks Like Scalable SEO architecture that can support millions of pages Clean indexing and strong crawl efficiency Growing organic traffic that converts—not vanity metrics Clear SEO roadmap tightly aligned with engineering execution How to Apply Please include: A brief overview of your SEO background Examples of programmatic or large-scale SEO projects you’ve led Tools you’re most comfortable with (and how you use them) How you like to work with engineers We’re looking for a strategic thinker who can also get hands-on and move fast.
