**Job Summary:**
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team in Florida. As a key member of our team, you'll provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders
* Verifying and revivifying benefits
* Translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
* Communicating and collecting copay amounts
* Obtaining authorizations
* Collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients and internal partners via phone
* Process new patient medication orders and reorders in a timely manner
* Verify and revivify benefits to ensure accurate and efficient processing
* Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
* Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients
* Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
* Utilize Windows-based applications, such as Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
**Essential Qualifications:**
* One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
* One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
* One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
* Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Prior experience in the healthcare industry, with familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners
