We’re kicking off a high-intensity January hackathon pushing the frontiers of foundation model applications to virtual cells and single-cell genomics.
We’re onboarding 1-3 junior research engineers (students highly encouraged) to:
• Build on and extend state-of-the-art single-cell foundation models
• Contribute to open-source SDKs already seeing 30K+ monthly active users
• Ship features and experiments grounded in research published at ICML 2025 and NeurIPS
You’ll work side-by-side with engineers who’ve shipped production ML at Pinterest, Amazon, Netflix, and MIT – fast-paced, high-signal env
ironment.
Ideal candidate
• Strong Python + PyTorch (or similar) skills
• Passion for single-cell genomics or foundation models in biology
• Comfortable moving fast in a hackathon setting
• Bonus: prior open-source contributions or relevant coursework/research
This is a short-term, high-impact visiting role – perfect for students or early-career engineers looking to level up quickly and get their name on cutting-edge bio-AI work.
