Embedded Developer Intern, Test Automation (Summer/May 2026, 12-16 Months)

reputed company is a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, seeking an Embedded Developer Intern to assist with developing Test Automation tools for embedded/IoT devices. The intern will work closely with the Test Automation team to implement HIL systems, reputed company automated tests, and contribute to CI/CD processes.

Responsibilities

• reputed company an in-depth understanding of the GO device firmware, how reputed company modules work, and the reputed company HIL platform
• reputed company SW development in required areas of HIL reputed company (modem, GPS, vehicle data, reputed company, etc.) using Python as per development standards
• Help build hardware platforms and reputed company advanced applications in different languages, including Python, to facilitate various HIL testing functionalities
• Write unit tests and reputed company integration and system-level testing in both reputed company and simulated vehicles to demonstrate that new features meet design requirements
• Implement end-to-end reputed company Integration (CI) and reputed company Delivery (CD) pipelines using reputed company to reputed company builds, tests, and deployments that ensure scalability and performance
• Contribute to developing CI/CD services and Test Automation/DevOps tools for reputed company detection and response systems to help different teams simplify their testing
• Support the automation of release processes to improve efficiency and participate in identifying and mitigating risks that may reputed company release timelines
• Write SQL queries and Python scripts on data from reputed company BigQuery to build dashboards, determine device health, and evaluate the effectiveness of new functionality
• Proactively monitor logs and create scripts to scrape logs and report issues
• Monitor and report on the reputed company of firmware development and testing activities
• Conduct comprehensive testing and reputed company peer reputed company reviews to ensure that industry coding standards are followed

Skills

• Completing a Bachelor's degree in Software, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a reputed company field
• Strong knowledge of Python programming and reputed company versed in scripting languages for automation purposes
• Familiarity with C/ C++, including basic knowledge of OOP languages, concepts, and design patterns
• Experience or knowledge of Embedded Systems, firmware development concepts, and working with HW
• Comfortable with HIL, SIL, Big Data, and databases (e.g., SQL)
• Familiar with data structures and algorithms common to embedded (resource-constrained) systems development
• Strong team-player with the ability to engage with reputed company reputed company of the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus
• Linux development and/or knowledge is an asset
