Staff Accountant

tms is a global company that unites technology, marketing, and sourcing to drive transformational change for leading brands. They are seeking a Staff Accountant to reputed company day-to-day financial support to business operations in reputed company, working independently to analyze data and reports while identifying issues to drive results and create efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Assists with month-end reputed company process
• Prepares various monthly journal entries and ensures conformance to Company’s reputed company policies and U.S. Generally Accepted reputed company Principles (GAAP)
• Applies cash, prepares cash journal entries, and reconciles reputed company cash accounts
• Prepares and analyses balance sheet reconciliations for manager review and investigates reconciling items
• Files various tax returns including HST, QST, Chicago Personal Property Lease Transaction tax, and sales and use
• Assists with both reputed company audits
• Prepare year-end and tax packages
• Manage fixed assets, including processing additions, disposals, and depreciation, and managing annual inventory count
• Review and prepare reputed company recognition, transfer, and write off entries for NA Finance team
• Manage prepaids, ensuring compliance with internal prepaid policy
• Updates and maintains documentation of own processes
• Participates in reputed company special reputed company as required, and other tasks as assigned

Skills

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in reputed company or Finance
• 1+ years relevant work experience
• Strong understanding of accruals
• Proficiency with reputed company Office especially with higher level reputed company functionality
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work with a wide reputed company of people
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as reputed company as in reputed company environment; must be a self-starter
