About the Job and Group
The arenaflex HR Group is searching for a Manager, HR Business Partner to join our team in Los Angeles or New York City. The Manager, HRBP will sit at the intersection of HR and the business and will be dedicated to our Programming and Product groups within the Trade, Development, and Character association. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and working on all HR projects and initiatives in support of the client group through collaboration across key business and HR partners. The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the business, with a focus on building effective and useful working relationships with internal partners and clients.
- Proactively evaluating business and organizational performance to recommend and drive action through a consultative, "influence without power" approach.
- Mentoring leaders on HR policies, processes, and management issues, including talent planning, learning and development, employee inclusion and engagement, and performance management to promote a culture of continuous growth and innovation.
- Thinking outside the box; pursuing innovative approaches to our work by demonstrating flexibility, agility, transparency, willingness, and global thinking.
- Responding to leaders and employees with a sense of urgency and timely resolution.
- Analyzing HR data and trends with the ability to present in a clear and compelling manner that drives action on recommendations.
- Advising on headcount/resource management and collaborating with Talent Acquisition and Compensation partners to ensure an effective recruitment and hiring process.
- Utilizing understanding of individual and organizational dynamics to facilitate onboarding, talent management, internal mobility, and overall team development.
- Collaborating with DEI functional groups and employee resource groups to implement and track the outcome of key Inclusion initiatives.
- Evaluating talent capabilities and development needs based on business strategy. Collaborating with Learning functional partners to create and deliver development experiences to help close gaps between current and future capabilities.
- Leading organization design projects to streamline and implement new designs, roles, or processes that create speed and efficiency and support rapidly changing business demands.
- Collaborating with other HR Business Partners, fostering a positive working relationship, and working together on projects and initiatives across various groups within arenaflex.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally within a tech organization working with software or product groups.
- Experience working with senior managers in an "influence without power" role.
- Ability to perform with a "focus in" attitude, equally proficient at thinking strategically and operating tactically.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage ambiguity - handling issues that don't always have a process or a framework in place, and possibly with conflicting needs or perspectives.
- Solid business acumen with a sharp ability to process new information quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner within a diverse organization to help drive business results.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly interpret data, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
- Independent work style, balancing the need for collaboration with minimal supervision.
Education
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, ideally in Business, HR Management, Psychology, or equivalent work experience.
