**Job Summary**
As a Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative – Patient Advocate, you'll be responsible for handling customer service inquiries from members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients related to pharmacy benefits. You'll work to research and resolve problems in a timely manner, assist members in understanding and maximizing the use of their pharmacy distribution program, and use computerized systems to gather information and respond to questions. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently will make you a valuable asset to our team.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Handle inbound and outbound member, provider, and physician calls in a professional and courteous manner
* Answer questions related to pharmacy benefits, while maintaining productivity standards and performance guarantees where applicable
* Work with other operational departments to research and resolve mail order and claims issues and respond to members within performance agreement guidelines
* Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries in order to continuously improve the customer service process and reduce potential legal concerns
* Identify and escalate concerns received from patients and/or clients in a prudent manner, so that corrective action can be pursued and expedited to take care of their needs
* Adhere to quality and production standards while complying with all applicable company, state, and federal safety regulations
* Perform other duties as needed to ensure the success of the team
**Essential Qualifications**
* 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service environment (preferably in the healthcare industry)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex issues
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
* Proficiency in computerized systems and software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high volume of calls and inquiries
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
* Knowledge of pharmacy benefits and healthcare industry regulations
* Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g. Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
* Bilingual or multilingual skills (e.g. Spanish, French, Mandarin)
