Job Overview
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. Your role will involve the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revitalizing benefits, translating and entering prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating with patients about copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional telephone support to patients, ensuring timely and compassionate care.
- Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying benefits and ensuring compliance with financial and clinical expectations.
- Effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners to resolve issues and ensure the smooth processing of specialty medications.
- Utilize superb communication skills to navigate complex customer needs and provide genuine care for patients and customers.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Essential Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone.
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
- One year of computer keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and aptitude.
- A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.
