Key Responsibilities

- Utilize Microsoft Office products and navigate the internet with proficiency to access patient information, review accounts, and perform other tasks efficiently.
- Communicate in a clear, concise, and understandable manner, actively listening to patients and responding to their needs with empathy and compassion.
- Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring that patients feel valued, supported, and satisfied with the resolution of their inquiries or concerns.
- Deescalate conflicts and remain positive in all situations, even when dealing with difficult customers, to maintain a professional and composed demeanor.
- Take patient demographics and other relevant information as needed, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Review explanation of benefit (EOB) documentation, notate accounts on collection activity, and perform account resolution to ensure timely and effective issue resolution.
- Verify patient bills for accuracy and completeness, obtain any missing information, and ensure that all necessary documentation is up-to-date and readily available.
- Collect patient payments in accordance with payment due dates, establish payment plans within approved guidelines, and ensure that all financial transactions are handled with integrity and transparency.
- Create a comfortable and peaceful atmosphere for patients, making it easy for them to interact with our team and access the support they need.
- Answer all phone calls within 2 minutes of the call hitting the system, ensuring prompt and efficient service.
- Adhere to established dialogue parameters when answering and ending phone calls, maintaining an average of 65 calls per day.
- Attend in-services, seminars, and webinars to enhance knowledge, skills, and performance, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance, ensuring that our patients receive consistent and uninterrupted support.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, demonstrating a foundation in basic skills and knowledge.
- 1 year of experience in customer service and/or call center industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, showcasing ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional support.
- Customer Service Basics or equivalent training preferred, highlighting a commitment to delivering outstanding patient experiences.
