Job Overview
The Patient Screeners and Customer Service Representatives will be responsible for creating a positive first impression and setting the tone for an exceptional patient experience. As the primary point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, you will provide directions, assist with parking validations, and address any needs or concerns they may have. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our patients, families, and visitors feel valued, respected, and supported throughout their journey with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy by accessing patient information only to the extent necessary to fulfill assigned duties, adhering to departmental policies and HIPAA requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that safety, care, and satisfaction are prioritized in every interaction.
- Badge all patients, families, and visitors entering the arenaflex hospital, creating an online profile to facilitate future visits and improve the efficiency of our Fast Pass system.
- Demonstrate professionalism, cooperation, alertness, helpfulness, and receptiveness, embodying the CICARE and ACT framework with a kind and compassionate demeanor.
- Act as a point of reference for patients, families, and visitors, attending to their wishes and requirements, and proactively identifying any support they may need.
- Listen carefully to patient, family, and visitor requests, providing a positive experience and identifying opportunities to improve our services.
- Escort patients or family members as needed, and assist with wheelchair transportation or other requirements for our differently-abled patients.
- Verify appointments in EPIC to validate parking, working closely with Public Safety to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Maintain a clean work environment and professional appearance, complying with relevant health and safety procedures.
- Cover weekend and/or evening shifts as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to our patients and families.
Essential Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior Customer Service experience is highly desirable, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in English, with multilingual skills strongly preferred (Spanish speaking is a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm, professional, and empathic demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak clearly, maintain a positive tone, and demonstrate a helpful attitude.
- Strong time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
