Job Summary
The Lead Retail Customer Service Associate is a critical role at arenaflex, responsible for delivering a positive customer experience to all customers. As a knowledgeable and skilled professional, you will be expected to take customer orders, coordinate store activities, provide pricing information, recommend appropriate products and services, and produce complex orders. You will also be responsible for managing and monitoring production processes, operating equipment, and ensuring quality during and after production. As a leader, you will provide direction to team members, solve escalated customer issues, and assist in the training of store team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, expert service is delivered to all customers
- Manage production flow to ensure all production orders are done right and on time
- Take customer orders, give pricing information, perform consultative selling to customers, and recommend arenaflex products and services
- Track and log all production jobs, and ensure quality during and after production process
- Set up complex orders and perform multiple tasks at the same time
- Coordinate pick-up and delivery of customer orders, and ensure communication among shifts
- May provide leadership to team members on an assigned shift, and assist in the training of store team members
- Collate, sort, and organize customer orders, and operate the Point of Sale terminal (POS)
- Handle financial transactions, make change, and complete required financial paperwork
- Follow instructions of supervisors, and assist other team members in performing store functions
- Follow arenaflex standard operating procedures, as well as adhere to legal, HR, safety, and security policies and procedures
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 2+ years of specialized experience in a customer-facing role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
- Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
- Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees, and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure, and maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, and report regularly to work and maintain established business hours
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Knowledge of print, signs, and graphics, and shipping services
- Experience with operating equipment, such as printers and copiers
- Ability to suggest areas for improvement in internal processes, and apply Quality concepts presented at training during daily activities
