Medical Affairs Strategy and Operations Intern
Genmab is an international biotechnology company dedicated to improving patients' lives through innovative antibody therapeutics. They are seeking a Medical Affairs Strategy and Operations Intern to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry, supporting various projects that enhance leadership and critical thinking skills while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively under the direction of the Sr. Director of Medical Affairs Strategy and Operations to support ongoing projects and facilitate new projects based on identified business needs
- Gain exposure to Medical Affairs strategies and tactics that are intended to ensure the safe and effective use of our medicines as well as increasing the awareness of treatment options for healthcare professionals and patients
- Perform Portfolio Analytics to assist with Long Term Forecasting and Strategic Planning
- Assist with data analytic projects that will help demonstrate the impact of our medical affairs team
- Assist with developing and organizing insight documents and repositories to enhance the speed to impact of our valuable insight data
- Track insights from internal and external scientific conversations to help inform strategic planning
- Participate in team meetings and help with operational tasks that contribute to smooth project execution
- Partner to deliver innovative and efficient solutions to evolve our field business
Skills
- Pursuing an advanced degree in the life sciences field (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MS, MPH, MBA)
- Has a desire to become proficient in effectively communicating complex, often scientific, information to various stakeholder groups
- Able to work independently, proactively, and part of a group, with curiosity and flexibility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record of leadership, time-management, project management, and teamwork
- Possess a 'can-do' approach and courage to speak your voice and suggest innovative ideas
- Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and CoPilot)
- Technical competencies in SharePoint and other information technology systems such as ChatGPT
- Academic and/or industrial clinical trial experience
- Demonstrated leadership in campus/community activities
- You work hard and are not afraid to have a little fun while you do so
