Anaplan Model Builder Specialist
Lincoln Financial is a company that helps people confidently plan for their financial futures. They are seeking an Anaplan Model Builder Specialist to join their Finance team, responsible for developing and maintaining planning processes using Anaplan while collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective models.
Responsibilities
- You will assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders to support model design
- You will develop a foundational understanding of insurance concepts and terminology, including individual life insurance, annuities, group insurance, and/or retirement planning
- You will support the design, build, and maintenance of Anaplan lists, modules, pages, actions, and other model settings under the guidance of senior model builders
- You will perform model maintenance and configuration to ensure model integrity and performance
- You will assist in monitoring and optimizing Anaplan models for efficiency and accuracy
- You will collaborate as part of the Anaplan Center of Excellence to enhance end-user support and drive Anaplan adoption across the organization
- You will develop and maintain knowledge of Anaplan best practices and stay current with emerging trends in the ecosystem
- You will develop expertise in Anaplan while collaborating with experienced model builders and business stakeholders
- You will create model ownership documentation and best practice materials
Skills
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- 1 - 3+ Years of experience as a model builder in an EPM tool (Anaplan or another)
- Anaplan Certified Model Builder certified, or equivalent training completed, upon hire
- Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain focus on key objectives
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information
- Ability to keep moving forward in uncertainty
- Basic knowledge of SQL and Python for data analysis and automation
- Exposure to QuickSight, Power BI, or other Business Intelligence tools
- Basic knowledge of the insurance domain, including individual life insurance, annuities, group insurance, and/or retirement planning
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
