Raleigh Midlevel Labor, Employment, Workplace Safety Associate
K&L Gates is a global law firm seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join their Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice in Raleigh. The role involves advising, litigating, and investigating employment and labor issues, as well as drafting and reviewing employment policies and documents.
Responsibilities
- Advising, litigating, and investigating employment and labor issues
- Drafting and reviewing employment policies and employment-related documents (such as offer letters, employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, employment policies, and separation agreements)
- Working on employment aspects of business mergers and acquisitions
Skills
- Experience working on a range of employment issues, including single plaintiff litigation, employment law advice, and reviewing and drafting employment policies and agreements
- Some experience with respect to the employment aspects of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
- Strong academic credentials
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-starter
- Prior experience with traditional labor relations
