About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bring your passion and strong product and brand knowledge to recommend upgrades to patients' health plans
  • Conduct research and make outbound calls to provide answers for patients regarding general healthcare benefit and eligibility questions, enrollment status requests for new and existing members
  • Assist patients with logging into and understanding the functionality of their online health account, locating doctor and facility information
  • Provide empathetic and personalized support to patients, addressing their concerns and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and resolution of patient issues
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and company policies to ensure compliance and excellence in customer service delivery

What You Bring to the Role

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6 months or more of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Integrity to follow HIPAA guidelines on maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer experience and proficiency in using various software applications
  • High-speed internet connection (> 15 mbps) and a reliable computer or laptop
  • A USB wired headset (or a compatible alternative) and a smartphone or device that runs IOS or Android
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and provide personalized support
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues in a timely and professional manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Knowledge of healthcare benefits, eligibility, and enrollment processes
  • Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., CHAA, CPC, or CMA)
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds
