Operations Manager, Fully Remote, Training Provided
I am the founder of a Silicon Valley–based online marketplace that helps students and organizations connect within elite universities (similar to OLX, but university-specific). Our platform is already successful and profitable and currently serves top universities.
We are now expanding internationally and are looking for a Remote Operations Manager to work directly with me in running and growing the business.
This role is ideal for an early-career professional who wants real responsibility, mentorship, and exposure to how a startup is built and scaled.
What You’ll Do
• Help coordinate daily operations of a remote team
• Support sales and customer outreach processes (training provided)
• Communicate professionally with customers and partners
• Assist with onboarding and client support
• Help document workflows, systems, and best practices
• Identify inefficiencies and suggest process improvements
• Work closely with the founder on execution and growth initiatives

Minimum Qualifications: We are looking for someone smart, motivated, and eager to learn. You do not need prior operations or sales experience.
Required:
• Strong English communication skills, especially:
• Writing clear, professional emails
• Communicating effectively with teammates and customers
• Organized, reliable, and proactive
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setup
• Willingness to learn business, operations, and customer communication
Nice to Have (but not required):
• Interest in operations, HR, customer success, or sales support
• Curiosity about startups, online marketplaces, or internet businesses
• Experience with Google Docs / Sheets or similar tools
