TalkTalk Group is seeking a dedicated and proactive Remote Onboarding Specialist to join our People & Culture team on a permanent, full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in crafting an outstanding onboarding experience for all new hires, ensuring they feel welcomed, informed, and equipped to succeed from their very first day, regardless of their physical location. You will be responsible for orchestrating a smooth and engaging journey from offer acceptance through their initial months, covering everything from administrative coordination to cultural integration. This role demands exceptional organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting people. As a remote specialist, you will leverage digital tools and creative communication strategies to foster a strong sense of belonging and readiness across our diverse workforce. Your efforts will directly contribute to our employee retention and overall organisational success. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the remote onboarding process from pre-start to the first 90 days, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for new hires. • Act as the primary point of contact for new remote employees, addressing queries, providing guidance, and fostering engagement. • Prepare and distribute welcome packs, IT equipment, and necessary access credentials to new remote starters. • Schedule and facilitate virtual induction sessions, workshops, and team introductions. • Collaborate with hiring managers, IT, and HR partners to ensure all necessary resources and support are in place before and during a new employee's start. • Develop and continuously improve remote onboarding materials, guides, and digital resources to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. • Gather feedback from new hires and hiring managers to identify areas for improvement in the onboarding program. • Track and report on onboarding metrics, identifying trends and recommending data-driven enhancements. • Ensure compliance with all relevant HR policies and legal requirements throughout the onboarding journey. • Champion TalkTalk's culture and values, helping new remote employees understand and embrace our organisational ethos. Required Skills • Minimum 3 years of experience in an HR, Onboarding, or Talent Acquisition role, with a focus on employee experience. • Proven experience managing remote or hybrid onboarding processes. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adaptable for diverse audiences and digital platforms. • Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom). • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for creating positive employee experiences. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. • Experience in the telecommunications or technology industry. • Familiarity with UK employment law and HR best practices. • Experience with digital learning platforms and content creation for onboarding.
