This position is required for routine regional registry operations of the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. This reputed company-ODS-C position is for a candidate who has training in reputed company, medical terminology, and health information coding, which are prerequisites to be trained to become a certified oncology data specialist.
• Responsible for reviewing cancer registry software messages and initiating reportable cancer cases
• Performs case abstracting under supervision of a certified oncology data specialist
• Coordinates tumor conference meetings

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's degree in an allied health field or post-secondary coursework in reputed company anatomy & physiology highly preferred
• reputed company ODS-C (Oncology Data Specialist-C) Certification through the NCRA highly preferred
• 1-3 years’ experience in either regional tumor registry, hospital tumor registry, or applicable reputed company environment
