Day in the Life of a Lead Pharmacy Technician

In this dynamic role, you will work closely with our senior technicians to coordinate daily production, troubleshoot issues, and identify solutions to improve our front-end processes and workflow. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with senior technicians to coordinate daily production of assigned areas, including data entry, customer service, and automation
  • Troubleshooting and assisting with front-end processes and workflow issues to identify a solution
  • Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed
  • Assisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws
  • Providing exceptional customer service to our long-term care, assisted living, and chronic care customers
  • Working alongside the pharmacist to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our pharmacy operations

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
  • Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experience are preferred:

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry
  • PTCB National Certification

Education

A verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required for this role.

Expected Salary and Location
