Architect/Urban Planner
Overview

This role combines Project Architect, Urban Planner, and Landscape Architect capabilities across a diverse portfolio, including data centers, commercial, and advanced manufacturing projects. You will research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects and masterplans, work on zoning, building codes, and high-level grading, earthwork, stormwater, and utility diagrams.
You will support our projects during the due diligence and master planning phases, coordinating with subject matter experts to convert information into due diligence reports and masterplans for clients. This is a hybrid, all US location opportunity with remote work flexibility and reporting to a local Jacobs office for team meetings and collaboration.

Responsibilities
• Research, program, plan, design, and administer building projects and masterplans for multiple industries
• Lead planning layouts and coordinate cross-discipline conversations; gather data from subject matter experts to support due diligence and master planning
• Prepare due diligence reports and masterplans; ensure alignment with design intent and high-level programming handoff to the design team
• Maintain firm-wide quality standards; collaborate with technical leadership and engineering discipline leads to achieve project goals
• Deliver excellence in all project phases: due diligence, master planning, site planning, and related programming
• Travel to project sites within the US as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Master of Science in City and Regional Planning
• 8+ years of professional experience
• Demonstrated experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite
• Extensive experience with building codes and researching zoning and permitting requirements
• Understanding of scopes of work, risk analysis for land development, and schedule reviews
• Ability to lead project work layouts and drive action items
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to engage with stakeholders to gather information and drive plan changes
• Understanding of grading, earthwork, stormwater, and utility diagrams
• Ability to travel to project sites in the US
Preferred
• Master in Architecture or Landscape Architecture
• Master of Science in City and Regional Planning
• Experience designing advanced facilities (data centers, life science or industrial facilities with office environments)
• Prior due diligence work experience with data centers (preferred)
• Participation in professional organizations
• LEED AP credentials
• Professional Architectural License and/or Landscape Architect License (desired but not required)

Some roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $91,400.00 to $, with pay determined by location, skills, experience, and education.
