The Senior System Integration Engineer Role:
The Senior System Integration Engineer ensures our autonomy software stack performs reliably from simulation through flight test. You will own the integration pipeline, bridging flight control firmware, perception systems, and mission software into deployable, field-ready configurations. This role sits at the intersection of software development and flight operations, requiring hands-on debugging of real-world autonomy behaviors and a systematic approach to test automation and validation.
• Debug and resolve issues across the full autonomy stack, from flight control firmware to mission-level behaviors
• Develop and maintain automated integration tests within CI/CD pipelines
• Build and manage simulation environments for pre-flight validation of autonomy software
• Containerize and deploy software packages to UAV platforms and edge compute systems
• Participate in flight test campaigns, including pre-flight verification, real-time monitoring, and post-flight data analysis
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and flight operations teams to identify root causes and drive fixes
This is a fulltime, non-exempt, non-supervisory role reporting to the VP of Engineering. This role is hybrid with 20% travel expectation.
Qualifications You Bring:
• 5+ years of experience in robotics, autonomy, or aerospace software integration
• Strong proficiency with PX4 flight control firmware and ROS2 middleware
• Demonstrated experience debugging complex autonomy and flight control software across simulation and hardware environments
• Hands-on experience with autonomy simulation frameworks (Gazebo, AirSim, or equivalent)
• Experience containerizing applications (Docker) and deploying software to embedded/edge systems on UAV platforms
• Proficiency building automated integration tests within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Direct participation in flight test campaigns, including pre-flight verification, real-time monitoring, and post-flight data analysis
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) for test automation and log analysis
Bonus Qualifications:
• Experience with MAVLink, QGroundControl, or MAVSDK
• Familiarity with ATAK/TAK ecosystem integration
• U.S. Military Veteran
• An active security clearance (this is not a requirement for the position)
