Key Responsibilities
- Utilize arenaflex's solution information section methodology and rules to process new patient enrollments, entering data into the appropriate system.
- Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines, entering refill orders for processing, and investigating to obtain missing prescription information.
- Interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes) and resolve all data entry-related exceptions.
- Manage communication with patients (inbound calls, chats, messages) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed.
- Resolve Third-Party Rejections by assessing, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
- Make phone calls to payers and others to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve Third-Party Rejections.
- Provide support to Pharmacists, both those in the office and those at different locations, and escalate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.
- Acquire an active professional license or certification within the first 90 days and maintain an active professional license or certification.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Basic level computer skills, including starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between applications, saving files, printing reports, or accessing information online.
- Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing in URLs, using a search engine, bookmarking a site, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
- Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
- At least one and a half years of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certification/registration by state as granted by the state Board of Pharmacy or nationally recognized certification agency.
- Experience providing customer support to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessment of customer satisfaction.
- Moderate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
