**Job Summary**
We're looking for a highly skilled Part-Time Remote Data Entry Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Central Billing Office, you'll be responsible for handling high volumes of charge and payment transactions while meeting accuracy and production standards. You'll work closely with our team to ensure seamless data entry, review and acceptance of charge sessions, and provide exceptional customer service.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Part-Time Remote Data Entry Assistant, you'll be responsible for:
* Handling high volumes of charge and payment transactions while meeting accuracy and production standards.
* Transcribing data from source documents and entering into our computer system. Information includes but is not limited to charge tickets, insurance explanation of benefits, and personal payments.
* Reviewing and accepting charge sessions from assigned charge work queues with a high level of accuracy. Ability to analyze charges to determine when required information is not provided or there is a discrepancy in the information given. Refer to appropriate individuals for follow-up.
* When inputting payments and adjustments, reviewing insurance explanation of benefits to ensure that appropriate payments and adjustments are applied according to contractual requirements. When a discrepancy is noted, provide documentation to appropriate staff.
* Assisting in other clerical assignments such as scanning, filing, mail processing/delivery, and patient registration.

**Minimum Requirements**
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
* A high school diploma or equivalent.
* Two years of data entry experience or a combination of related education and experience preferred.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems.
* Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS).
* Certification in medical billing or coding.
