Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician and Data Entry Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, including the use of pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and providing excellent customer service. This is a remote job opportunity with a competitive salary of $75,000 per year and a range of benefits, including health and wellness programs, retirement plans, and employee discounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, including the use of pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions
  • Provide excellent customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and provide personalized service to ensure a positive experience
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy
  • Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow, including reporting prescription errors and adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required, and take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in finding products
  • Handle phone calls that don't require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians
  • Process manual claims for third-party application prescription services in a timely and efficient manner and perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager

Essential Qualifications

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Preferred qualifications include six months of experience in a retail environment, previous work experience with arenaflex, and desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately
  • Preferred computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control
  • PTCB certification is preferred
