DoD Financial Improvement – Audit Remediation Specialist

Job Description: • Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professionals in support of our Department of Defense client. • These teammates will bring a vast range of experiences across financial management, accounting, audit, internal controls, and financial policy. • Our Guidehouse team will provide: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures and DoD organizational structures • Financial audit statements and audit readiness services • Understanding of current trends in enhancing compliance with accounting and auditing standards within an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) • Understanding of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and federal financial management systems • Understanding of DoD acquisition, inventory, property and material management Requirements: • Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a SECRET DoD security clearance • Bachelor’s Degree; relevant professional experience with inventory management may be used in-lieu of degree based on client approval • ONE (1) or more years' experience relevant to inventory management • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Management/Administration (nice to have) • Currently possess one or more of the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Program Management Professional (PMP), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Federal Financial Management or Federal Accounting experience supporting the Department(s) of the Air Force, Army, and/or Navy (nice to have) Benefits: • Medical, Rx, Dental & Vision Insurance • Personal and Family Sick Time & Company Paid Holidays • Position may be eligible for a discretionary variable incentive bonus • Parental Leave and Adoption Assistance • 401(k) Retirement Plan • Basic Life & Supplemental Life • Health Savings Account, Dental/Vision & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability • Student Loan PayDown • Tuition Reimbursement, Personal Development & Learning Opportunities • Skills Development & Certifications • Employee Referral Program • Corporate Sponsored Events & Community Outreach • Emergency Back-Up Childcare Program • Mobility Stipend Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
