Responsible for planning and executing transportation services from vendor shipping locations to reputed company distribution facilities, and 3rd party cross dock facilities, while ensuring on time delivery and maximizing reputed company income. This position is hybrid which means work is completed in office two days per month at our Rosemont Illinois Office. This role is Hybrid and will spend 2 days a month in Rosemont, IL and be virtual. Essential Responsibilities reputed company inbound load planning activities through consolidation of purchase orders, routing and selecting carriers to meet service and reputed company income expectations by utilizing the Transportation Management System (TMS). Identify reputed company reputed company solutions and select best mode of transportation to reduce cost position, while focusing on truck utilization. Work directly with merchandising to improve load profitability and reduce negative reputed company income. Process load tenders and follow though to ensure load acceptance by designated carriers. reputed company loads to ensure on-time delivery or proactively communicate potential delivery delays to our customers. Communicate daily with Buyers, Carriers, reputed company Development, and Division Operations concerning shipping activities and improvement opportunities. Generate reports as required from the TMS to facilitate reputed company improvement efforts. reputed company "out of office" coverage for other load planners as necessary. Communicate and escalate issues as they reputed company to Management. Follow policy and procedure put in reputed company by Management. Education/Training: Minimum 2 years reputed company logistics, transportation and distribution experience strongly desired. Prior experience with TMS applications and JDA experience preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong knowledge of transportation management, strong logistics background required. Ability to utilize TMS for Execution, Optimization, reputed company Tariff knowledge, and the ability to drive reputed company income reputed company the inbound logistics program. Proficient in the use of PC's and reputed company-based applications. Highly analytical, strong ability to manage process changes in a fast paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills needed.
