Remote School Counselor Position for CA School

We are seeking a skilled School Counselor to enhance our special education services through virtual means, ensuring students receive the support and resources they need to thrive. Job Description: We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated School Counselor to provide remote services to K-12 students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting students' academic and personal development, addressing emotional and social issues to promote overall well-being and success in school. This role requires strong collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to support students’ educational goals. The position is flexible with a minimum availability required of 3 days per week between 8am-4pm, Mon-Fri. Responsibilities: • Offer individual and group counseling to address emotional and social issues, promoting healthy peer relationships and conflict resolution. • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student needs and participate in multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive support plans. • Develop and implement school counseling programs, advocating for students' best interests and promoting a safe environment. Qualifications: • Master’s degree in School Counseling or a related field. • Valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credentials • Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred. • Strong understanding of the principles and practices of school counseling applicable to a K-12 educational setting. Skills: • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school staff. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to foster an engaging and supportive educational environment. • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail. • Comfort with technology and proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for remote education and communication.
