Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve common DB issues and perform disaster recovery tasks
• Perform routine DB maintenance activities, including file maintenance, backups (full, differential, and log backups), and monitoring SQL jobs
• Apply knowledge of DB sizing and performance tuning practices to optimize database performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet database activity requirements
• Develop and maintain technical documentation related to database administration
• Provide exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent in education and work experience
• Ability to investigate and resolve common DB issues and perform disaster recovery tasks
• Experience with performing routine DB maintenance activities, including file maintenance, backups, and monitoring SQL jobs
• Knowledge of DB sizing and performance tuning practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS SQL Technology
• Ability to develop Powershell scripts
• Experience with SQL AOG and DB Mirroring
• Previous experience working in a remote environment
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
