Job Overview

As a Database Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing expert support for our database activities, including the design, implementation, and maintenance of our SQL database systems. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the optimal performance, security, and reliability of our databases, as well as developing and implementing data management solutions to meet the needs of our business stakeholders. This is a full-time, remote opportunity, offering a competitive salary of $20-30 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand database requirements and develop solutions to meet business needs
• Design, implement, and maintain SQL database systems, including database architecture, data modeling, and data governance
• Perform routine database maintenance activities, including file maintenance, backups, and SQL job management
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance optimization and disaster recovery
• Develop and implement data management solutions, including data warehousing, data integration, and data analytics
• Provide expert support for SQL database systems, including SQL Server, Azure IaaS, and PaaS
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including database design, data models, and system architecture
• Collaborate with developers to design and implement database solutions that meet application development requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent education and work experience
• Proven experience in database administration, including SQL Server, database design, and data modeling
• Strong understanding of database concepts, including data normalization, data warehousing, and data governance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a strong focus on customer service and support

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS SQL technology, including Azure SQL Database and Azure Synapse Analytics
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques, including indexing, caching, and query optimization
• Experience with SQL Server, including SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Integration Services, and SQL Server Analysis Services
• Ability to develop PowerShell scripts for automating database tasks and processes
• Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts, including star and snowflake schemas, and data mart design
• Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools, including Power BI, Tableau, and SQL Server Reporting Services
