Learning & Organizational Development Consultant

Job Summary The Learning & Organization Consultant is responsible for serving as a consultant for organization development; leadership consultation and coaching in both career development and performance management; talent pipeline development; learning management and program development; and continual professional development within the Enterprise. The Consultant also serves as a subject matter expert in his/her recognized areas of expertise to relevant business areas. Requirements EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education or a related field. In lieu of a degree, five (5) years' relevant work experience will be considered. EXPERIENCE Minimum five (5) years’ professional level experience in one (1) of the following Areas of Expertise (AOE): organizational development, workplace learning: training delivery, training management, instructional design, leadership development, talent assessment, or succession planning. Minimum three (3) years’ supervisory/leadership experience. Requirement may be substituted with three (3) years’ experience coaching or directly consulting with leaders. Project management experience managing complex projects and/or initiatives preferred. Health insurance experience preferred. Consults with leaders to assess learning and development needs, identify goals, and a create action plans. • Leadership Development: Analyzes, designs, develops, delivers and evaluates leadership development programs. • Learning Program Management: Plans, schedules, promotes, and evaluates learning and development programs, processes and initiatives. Develops new programs support the strategic direction of the organization. • Organizational Development: Implements and facilitates methodologies to strengthen employee abilities and knowledge, increase efficiency, and improve leadership capabilities throughout the organization. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Project Management: Plans, oversees and leads learning projects from ideation through to completion. • Talent Pipeline Development: Facilitates and supports processes for assessing, identifying and developing organizational talent. • Workplace Learning Professional Development: Facilitates or participates in the professional development of trainers, developers and other workplace learning professionals within the company. Shares knowledge, experience and resources with other professionals Certifications Professional, Academy for Healthcare Management (PAHM) - American Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR) - HR Certification Institute (HCRI), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) - Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Security Requirements This position is identified as level three (3). This position must ensure the security and confidentiality of records and information to prevent substantial harm, embarrassment, inconvenience, or unfairness to any individual on whom information is maintained. The integrity of information must be maintained as outlined in the company Administrative Manual. Segregation of Duties Segregation of duties will be used to ensure that errors or irregularities are prevented or detected on a timely basis by employees in the normal course of business. This position must adhere to the segregation of duties guidelines in the Administrative Manual.
