WHY DO WE NEED YOU? This position is accountable for the maintenance and execution of the master production schedule for the assigned areas of PCR Niagara. The incumbent works closely with plant supervision and other members of the customer service and production planning team to monitor production requirements for machines and manpower resources. The incumbent identifies constraints, schedules new orders to utilize plant resources most effectively, while providing feedback to supervision on changes or events that effect the production environment, maintains the production schedule to reflect changes, and recommends actions relative to lead time schedules. Objectives of this position are based upon continuous improvements in on time delivery, cycle time reduction and cost avoidance. • Promising and firm planning all incoming orders within defined and available capacities so that production activity is synchronized across key work centers resulting in a balanced workflow and consistent lead times. • Monitoring plant activity, anticipating operational constraints, and formulating appropriate responses that accommodate the requirements of the master production schedule. Work with appropriate functional supervisor to execute corrective action. • Releasing firm planned orders to production or outside vendors as required to fulfill the master production schedule. • Monitoring actual versus planned activity at key work centers, and expediting when appropriate. Reviewing orders that are going to be late, applying Manufacturing Reschedule Dates (MRD) and processing Late Order Notifications. Apply manufacturing reschedule dates as known to keep Customer Service and Customers informed of delays in production. • Reporting plant performance and maintaining data relative to available capacities, planned requirements and actual performance. • Maintaining and executing the master schedule to optimize utilization of constraints, maximize throughput, minimize lead times, and meet customer requirements. • Acting as liaison between manufacturing, engineering, sales, customer service and outside vendors to resolve schedule problems, respond to emergencies and negotiate customer deliveries. • Working with the Purchasing and Planning Supervisor, the Senior Buyer – Raw Materials, MRO Buyer, and the Materials Management Specialist to ensure timely procurement of raw materials, equipment, tooling and purchased parts as required to execute the master schedule. • Supporting manufacturing with information on order status, production history, current backlogs, anticipated manpower and kiln loading requirements. • Monitoring and maintaining key data files including finished goods planning data and open shop order files to insure integrity. • Participating in Continuous Improvement Initiatives IS THIS JOB FOR YOU? We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $70,000 to $108,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $76,300 to $117,700. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
