About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated 3rd Shift Customer Service Specialist to join our Order Management team. As a key member of our logistics and customer service operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of blood and plasma derivatives, transfusion-related products, and supplies to hospitals and healthcare facilities. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential in providing top-notch support to our customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide customer assistance with ordering blood and plasma derivatives, transfusion-related products, and supplies, ensuring accurate order entry and fulfillment.
- Maintain hospital inventory and manage returns of blood products in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Receive and process routine orders, making follow-up calls as needed to ensure customer needs are met.
- Determine the most economical method of transportation for hospital shipments, optimizing logistics and reducing costs.
- Maintain accurate records and data, utilizing computer programs and tools to facilitate management and monitoring of product and service information.
- Rotate inventory at primary and remote facilities to ensure adequate supplies of products for customer needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service, proactively communicating with hospital customers to increase satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
- Investigate and resolve hospital shipment problems, collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely and effective solutions.
- Receive, investigate, and communicate customer concerns, completing documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist hospital personnel with inventory alternatives when requested products are unavailable, providing guidance and support within established guidelines and procedures.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Progressive experience in a dynamic, multi-task operational environment preferred.
- Experience in blood or pharmaceutical inventory management, hospital customer relations, or logistics is highly desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, staff, and volunteers at all levels.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on building relationships, resolving conflicts, and promoting teamwork.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage competing demands, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
